While using VIDIZMO Studio or Player you might find some features disabled or not working as expected for e.g.
1. Preview feature in studio might not work
2. The auto save function that automatically saves presentation may not work
3. “Resume” presentation feature may not be available at playback
4. Quiz or Form answers submitted in viewing session may not preserve
If you are facing all or any of the above mentioned problems, then this page can help you fix them.
There are two possible reasons for the disabled features problem, one related to browser setting (called ‘InPrivate Browsing’ or ‘Incognito Browsing’ in different browsers) and the other one related to Silverlight setting (called ‘Application Storage’ setting).
Please make sure both of the settings are in desired state as described below.
To configure your browser
Your browser settings:
You might be browsing in a Private Tab or Private Window or Incognito Window (Private Browsing), in which case depending on your browser, please follow the instructions below
For Firefox:
- Go to Tools -> Options ->Privacy tab
- Uncheck the ‘Automatically start FireFox in a private browsing session’ option as shown below
- Once the setting has been changed, close the browser and restart it.
In IE, Google Chrome and Opera:
Please make sure that you are not browsing in Private or Incognito window. To ensure you are not, please look for Private Browsing icons, next to address bar of these browsers, similar to as shown in snapshots below.
In case InPrivate Browsing is enabled (or you see the red boxed icons in your browsers), you’ll have to come out from it by re-starting browser in Non-InPrivate Browsing mode.
Silverlight Application Storage is disabled:
Make sure that Silverlight Application Storage is enabled. You can enable Silverlight Application Storage from Studio page or any Silverlight area. Please follow steps given below to enable this setting
1. Right click on the white space on the spin animation on Mashup Studio page
2. Click on the ‘Silverlight Preferences’ menu
3. Under ‘Application Storage’ tab, check the ‘Enable application storage’
4. And close the ‘Silverlight Preferences’ window
